Amanda has significant experience in both the private  and public health sectors, having worked professionally with children and families since 1999. Previously, she has worked with adults and their families experiencing serious psychiatric illness. Amanda has also provided individual and group treatments for anxious children, working with the Macquarie University Centre for Emotional Health in Sydney.

With strong skills in anxiety management,  individual therapy, and using a family approach to treating emotional and behavioural difficulties, Amanda is committed to supporting her clients to make change.

Rani has extensive experience supporting and treating children, adolescents and adults across a range of psychological difficulties.  Rani has worked for several years in private practice, and previously in hospital and community health settings, supporting children and teenagers experiencing medical and psychological difficulties.

Rani is particularly interested in working with children and teens with anxiety and mood challenges, such as worry, panic, obsessions and compulsions, phobias, depression, bipolar disorder, and self harm behaviours.  She also has experience supporting children and young people with eating disorders, medical issues, and other complexities.  Rani is adept at supporting children within their family relationships, and works directly with parents and families to promote appropriate and healthy relationships between family members.

Rani achieves change with families through use of therapies such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Schema Therapy, Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, and family therapies.

Helga is currently on Maternity Leave.  Helga completed her post graduate clinical training (DClinPsych) at the University of Sydney in 2006.  She initially worked in neuropsychology settings in the UK where she lead an interdisciplinary team designing and implementing behaviour management plans for severe challenging behaviours as a result of brain injury. She developed a strong interest in relational rehabilitation, and supporting families following injury, illness or disease. 

In Australia, Helga has worked with children and adolescents with a range of mental health concerns, individually, and in group formats. She interned at the Macquarie University Centre for Emotional Health and has completed training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, Circle of Security and Family Systems Therapy. She is currently undertaking the Advanced Clinical Training in Family Therapy.  

Helga sees children and adolescents in the clinic with diagnosed mental health conditions, medical conditions, mild to severe emotional and behavioural difficulties, as well as families undergoing change or life challenges.

With many years of experience and a Masters in Clinical Psychology, Jessica has worked across the government, private, and not-for-profit sectors, helping children, adolescents, and adults to address a broad range of emotional, behavioural and relationship difficulties.

Jessica has extensive training and experience, having co-authored and implemented a specialised anxiety treatment program, and presented at the Australian and New Zealand Family Therapy Conference.  She has also worked extensively with schools, legal professionals and other agencies to support families making change.

Jessica feels privileged to have shared the stories of many individuals and families, and is committed to working with clients to discover what matters to them, and to live rich, meaningful and connected lives.

Lauren completed a BA in Psychology (1996), MSc in Clinical Psychology (2003) and a PhD in Clinical Psychology (2007). She has extensive clinical experience working with children, adolescents and families, as well as individual adults, in a variety of treatment settings, including community mental health services, residential treatment centres, within a multidisciplinary team at a non-government organisation, and private practice.

She has worked with clients from diverse backgrounds with a broad range of mental health difficulties, including severe mental illness (bipolar disorder, schizophrenia), developmental issues (Autism Spectrum), behavioural difficulties (ADHD, ODD), emotional difficulties (mood and anxiety disorders), relationship difficulties (attachment, parent-child interactions), and school/occupational problems.

Lauren utilises evidence-based therapies and builds on the strengths of individuals and families to achieve positive change in their lives. Lauren currently conducts psychometric assessments for children who are having difficulty in school due to learning difficulties and/or attention/concentration problems or who are gifted and talented.

Raechel has a Masters in Clinical Psychology and is currently completing her PhD at The University of Sydney developing and evaluating a group therapy program to support children who have a parent with cancer. She has comprehensive clinical experience working with children, adolescents and families in both public and private settings, including a hospital-based community mental health team, the University of NSW Child Behaviour Research Clinic and Redbank House Child and Family Unit located at Westmead hospital.

She works with clients presenting with a wide range of mental health difficulties including anxiety disorders, mood disorders, ADHD, behaviour disorders, relationship and attachment difficulties, stress, bullying and self-esteem issues.

Raechel is skilled in a variety of evidence-based therapies and is passionate about working with children, adolescents and families to help them achieve positive change in their lives.

Melissa is our kind and friendly Office and Clinical Assistant.  Melissa provides administration support for our clinicians, and she will usually be your first point of contact when you enquire with the Northern Beaches offices.  Melissa holds a psychology degree from Macquarie University, and has several years experience with office administration and customer service.
