Rebates
Many private health funds provide rebates for psychological consultations. Please check with your fund to find out about your eligibility. All Kids & Co. consultants are providers with many health funds.
Medicare Australia has a ‘better access to mental health’ scheme which provides a limited rebate when your General Practitioner, Psychiatrist, or Paediatrician refers you/your child for psychological intervention to address a mental health issue. Eligibility for the scheme can only be deemed appropriate by your medical provider and requires a mental health diagnosis. A particular consultation between you and your doctor is required to make this assessment, and to create the necessary referral documentation for us. In 2010, medicare rebates are between $78 and $117 per session for up to 12 sessions per calendar year, with an additional 80% of the gap rebated when families reach their Medicare Saftey Net. The consultants at Kids & Co. are recognised providers with Medicare to enable eligible clients to receive this rebate
Appointments and cancellations
Appointments at Kids & Co. are essential, and typically last around 50 minutes. We do request that reasonable notice be given to cancel or rearrange an appointment, so that your appointment can be offered to someone else.
As such our standard cancellation policy is as follows:
- Cancellations within 0-24 hours notice: 100% of the fee is payable,
- Cancellations between 24-48 hours notice: 50% of the fee is payable.
