Alanna Byrne

January 9, 2019

Alanna has experience working with children and families as a psychologist in health services, and in private practice, where she provided both assessments and therapy. She has previously worked and volunteered in the early intervention sector for over seven years. She is passionate about using assessments to support children and their families to prepare for milestones, and about supporting children who may have additional needs. Alanna uses a strengths-based, transdiagnostic approach to therapy. She draws from CBT, ACT, and DBT, in addition to attachment-based therapies. Alanna sees children, teens, and families therapeutically, and has treated anxiety, phobias, low mood, trauma, self-harm, and behavioural difficulties. She is also interested in peri- and post-natal psychology.
