Courtney holds a Masters of Clinical Psychology from Macquarie University, a Bachelor of Psychology (Hons) and a Bachelor of Human Sciences (Cognitive Brain Science). Courtney is a dedicated psychologist and Clinical Psychology Registrar committed to cultivating an environment that balances professionalism with a welcoming, warm, and enjoyable atmosphere. Drawing from extensive experience across university, community mental health and school-based settings, Courtney has honed her experience and interest to working with children, adolescents and families. This has included working with young people and families presenting with anxiety, low mood, obsessive-compulsive disorder, phobias, emotion regulation difficulties, and life/family stress.
Throughout her years of experience working in the mental health field, Courtney has developed her proficiency in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Family Systems Therapy. Courtney uses these evidence-based approaches to provide interventions that are designed for each individual's therapeutic goals. Courtney's passion for working with young people and families is also evident in her engagement in research, conferences, publications, and training focussed on childhood anxiety, development of emotion regulation, and family therapy approaches.
