Darby is a warm and compassionate Clinical Psychology Registrar dedicated to providing a safe and supportive environment for her clients. She is experienced in working with children, adolescents, and their families with various concerns, such as anxiety (phobias, social and generalised anxiety), depression, stress from life changes or school, trauma, self-esteem, and relationship difficulties.
Darby's approach includes a variety of evidence-based therapies tailored to the unique needs of each child and family. These include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Trauma-Focused CBT, and mindfulness skills. Darby is passionate about empowering her clients by focusing on their strengths and working collaboratively with their families, carers, schools, and broader support systems. By engaging with the important people in a young person’s life, she helps them develop the skills they need to reach their therapeutic goals and lead more fulfilling lives.
Darby holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology and a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) from Macquarie University. She is registered with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulatory Agency (AHPRA). Darby is available for in-person sessions in Balgowlah, as well as Telehealth sessions throughout Sydney's Northern Beaches and across Australia.
