Lauren completed a BA in Psychology (1996), MSc in Clinical Psychology (2003) and a PhD in Clinical Psychology (2007). She has extensive clinical experience working with children, adolescents and families, as well as individual adults, in a variety of treatment settings, including community mental health services, residential treatment centres, within a multidisciplinary team at a non-government organisation, and private practice.
She has worked with clients from diverse backgrounds with a broad range of mental health difficulties, including severe mental illness (bipolar disorder, schizophrenia), developmental issues (Autism Spectrum), behavioural difficulties (ADHD, ODD), emotional difficulties (mood and anxiety disorders), relationship difficulties (attachment, parent-child interactions), and school/occupational problems.
Lauren utilises evidence-based therapies and builds on the strengths of individuals and families to achieve positive change in their lives. Lauren currently conducts psychometric assessments for children who are having difficulty in school due to learning difficulties and/or attention/concentration problems or who are gifted and talented.
