Thea is a Clinical Psychologist who is passionate about supporting the wellbeing of children and their families. She brings a breadth of experience working with this population across community health, education and private practice settings. In these roles she has provided clinical assessment, diagnosis and therapy for a variety of mental health and developmental concerns.
Thea works with families to develop a shared and deep understanding of presenting issues that reflect the child’s development, skills, environment and experiences. This relates to difficulties including anxiety, mood, emotion and behaviour regulation, ADHD and Autism, school difficulties, previous trauma and parent-child interactions.
Thea’s therapeutic work is attachment and systemic informed and utilises a variety of approaches including CBT, ACT, PCIT and positive parenting concepts. She also conducts psychometric assessments for cognitive, learning and attentional challenges. Thea highly values the involvement of parents and caregivers as part of a collaborative therapeutic process. She aims to highlight the unique strengths and resources of each family and to build confidence in their ability to support healthy development.
