Meagan is a friendly and collaborative psychologist with more than 10 years experience supporting children, adolescents and their families. Meagan has a person-centred approach to counselling and creates a safe space where young people and families can explore what is going on, what they need or want, and how they can get there.
With training and experience in a range of evidence-based therapeutic interventions including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT), dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), and eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing (EMDR), Meagan's style is adaptable and caters for individual needs. Through these approaches she aims to support young people and families to identify their strengths and fulfil their own potential for growth.
Meagan also has experience in cognitive, educational and behavioural assessments. These assessments are helpful in identifying a child's strenghts and areas for development leading to better informed learning and behavioural support so young people can engage more successfully in schooling.
